Teodoro urges stronger Asean ties as super El Niño threatens region

MANILA, Philippines — Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. on Wednesday called for stronger cooperation among Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) member-states on food and energy security as the region braces for a potentially super El Niño that could trigger droughts and power shortages. Speaking at the 20th Asean Defense Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) in Cebu City,
